It is estimated that 45% of women over 50, and 51% of women over 60 have a urinary incontinence issue. Pregnancy, childbirth and menopause all play a part.
But there’s a lot more to the picture – it can be embarrassing, cause anxiety, lower self-esteem, create social isolation, sexual problems and even things such as an increase in falls, a higher likelihood of infections and skin breakouts.
