I was feeling the strains of hormonal changes too. I lived totally in my head. I wanted a Dr to tell me what to do, I wanted the medication to make things feel better.

I was working all the hours, I had a corporate job that took me all over the country, I had young children too. I was gaining the unstoppable weight, my hips were in pain, so much so that I had to crawl upstairs. My pelvic floor was wrecked from childbirth, I couldn’t walk very far without feeling like everything was going to fall out. And if I had to go somewhere new, I planned my journey based upon where the toilets would be enroute.

I have lived that life, thinking that this was it, this was how it was meant to be. I was earning lots of money, but I knew that my health was being wrecked by it. I was on a one-way ticket to a life of painkillers, possible hip replacements, and a life of calorie counting – because that was the only way I knew how to lose weight. I was a robot, completely cut off from my body and its natural wisdom.

So, I quit my job, and started on a 10-year journey of researching, practicing, and teaching how to make positive changes that will transform your life. I’ve built my body back, from the inside out, you can too. I’ve also taught countless women (and men!) to become more aware of their bodies inner wisdom, to get more in touch with their natural healing abilities and to broaden their perspective to include holistic methods such as breathwork, mouth taping, gut health – all of these things I talk about in the book.

Jill has been teaching fitness and health for over 30 years, and for the past ten years, has been running her own popular Pilates studio in County Durham. She specialises in women’s health, including hormonal health, strength training and is also a teacher of Breathwork. Over the years she has studied both the physical body and the meta-physical, and her methods combine body, mind and spirit. She likes to weave the science with the mystical, believing that sometimes the spiritual element is just waiting for science to catch up.

This is Jill’s first book where she lays the foundations of her method, but also gives you a 6-week program to begin your healthy journey straight away.
